Daniel J. Siegel, MD, is the director of the Mindsight Institute and codirector of the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Siegel is the author of The Mindful Brain and Parenting from the Inside Out. His internationally acclaimed bestseller, The Developing Mind, has been used by a number of organizations including the U.S. Department of Justice and the Vatican. Dr. Siegel is the founding editor of the Norton Series on Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Jack Kornfield

Jack Kornfield has been teaching meditation globally since 1974 and is one of the key teachers to introduce mindfulness practices to the West. He is cofounder of the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, Massachusetts, and the Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, California. His many books have been translated into 22 languages and sold more than 1.5 million copies. He is a grandfather and husband, and holds a PhD in clinical psychology.
