Sometimes in my life that looked like practical help (personal assistant, personal chef, office assistant) and sometimes that has been a deeper form of connection and help (music therapist, yoga teacher, meditation teacher, artist, mom). But the desire to help ease the discomfort and suffering of others has always been there. About 8 years ago, I began my journey exploring the practices of yoga and mindfulness meditation in an effort to learn to deal with my own mind-body disconnection and discomfort. It was then I began to awaken. I want to continue my awakening, and I want to be of help. Those two desires led me to the path of teacher. My liberation is tied to yours. None of us can be truly awake and free until all of us are, so teaching, for me, is a way to extend a hand back and help folks onto the path. I’m not at the end of the path. I’m on the path with you. I don’t have all the answers, but I might be able to help.
