Joslyn B. Hitter (she/her) completed facilitator training in Los Angeles at InsightLA and at the UCLA Semel Institute. During her first decade of practice she sat over 300 nights of retreat at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and Insight Meditation Society. Jos currently facilitates the Mindful of Whiteness Anti-Racist Practice Group at InsightLA. Her teaching experience is broad and ranges from working in addiction treatment facilities, at early childhood education centers, within refugee populations, and in plant medicine integration circles. Jos’s orientation to Insight meditation is influenced by her graduate studies in depth psychology, somatic studies, and holistic approaches to trauma healing. Jos is a self-described dharma nerd and is passionate in her study of Sanskrit, Pali, classical yoga and early Buddhism. She is deeply committed to anti-racist work and to decolonizing Western dharma traditions. Her rescue dog, Cleopatra, is a significant dharma inspiration in her daily life.
