Genevieve Tregor, MS has studied and practiced intensively under senior Western and monastic teachers in the Insight Meditation Tradition; her personal practice experience includes multiple extended retreats totaling 1.5 years. She is founding teacher of the Insight Meditation Scottsdale community (insightscottsdale.org) and Solution Mindfulness (solutionmindfulness.com); teaching both in Buddhist and in secular community and health-care contexts. She offers experience as a practitioner, teacher, and entrepreneur, and expertise in developing curricula and creating “container” for mindfulness classes, workshops, and retreats, including producing and organizing large-scale international online retreats (oneworldmindfulness.com). Genevieve has a background in health care and health education; she currently teaches Cultural Aspects of Health and Illness as adjunct faculty at Maricopa Community Colleges in Phoenix, Arizona. She values the role of community in support of practice, and takes a trauma-informed approach to teaching; she is trained in the Somatic Experiencing method to healing trauma. Genevieve’s students appreciate her authentic, direct style and her clarity in teaching.
